There have been reports that individuals who purchased Epic Ski passes have been denied refunds following the cancelation of the season. There have been further complaints that the insurance has also failed to cover the purchase price of the passes.

BROOMFIELD — An Epic Pass holder from New York filed suit Tuesday against Vail Resorts Inc. (NYSE: MTN) demanding refunds for a portion of the price of the pass, which could no longer be used after the Broomfield-based operator closed its ski areas in March. This is one of the many cases filed recently that bring suit against companies or schools claiming that refunds are owed because of the closure of facilities or services aimed at preventing the spread of Covid-19.
