Users will confront malfunctioning animatronics in their true globe and attempt to survive these horrors come to life. Through the mini game, users subscribe to Fazbear Entertainment’s brand fresh “Fazbear Funtime Service” and receive their favorite animatronics on-demand. Due to unfortunate circumstances, the visiting animatronics malfunction and attack subscribers instead of entertaining them.Users must confront an endless stream of hostile animatronics that will follow them wherever they go. Five Nights at Freddy's AR: Special Delivery (often shortened to Special Delivery, abbreviated to FNaF AR: SD or FNaF AR) is a 2019 augmented reality first-person survival horrorvideo game developed by Illumix in collaboration with Scott Cawthon. It is the third spin-off of the Five Nights at Freddy's series, the first being FNaF World, and the second being Ultimate Custom Night. The game was released on November 25, 2019 on iOS and Android.[1][2]Special Delivery seems to be canon, taking place between Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted and the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach.[citation needed]
Gameplay[edit]
The game features location-based augmented reality gameplay, similar to Pokémon Go. Numerous malfunctioning animatronics are sent to the player's home, which the player has to survive from. The game features many animatronics from the main series. The player has numerous tools at their aid, including a flashlight, controlled shock, etc. The player can also salvage animatronics for their parts and make their own animatronics to send to their friends' homes. Sometimes, the player has to collect remnant, but collecting the shadow remnant causes Shadow Bonnie to attack. The game receives continuous updates adding new characters, skins for the animatronics, and other new gameplay features.[1]

It begins with a simple premise - signing up for the Fazbear Funtime Service so that 'you'll never be alone again'.[3]. But as the story begins to unfold, players will realize that they may have signed up for more than they bargained for. Malfunctioning animatronics are delivered to their doorsteps for a series of frightening encounters. The inbox provides many tips for dealing with this, as well as some emails, not meant to be sent to the player. One series of emails tells about a man named Luis trying to inform a woman, Ness, about red-flag reports triggered by her offensive and harmful search words. The emails might suggest that she is under the control of Glitchtrap, the antagonist from Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted, planning for one of his malevolent plans. Another series of emails tells about employees of the Fazbear Entertainment working on the previous animatronics to scan their circuit boards for their use in Help Wanted and designing the circuits of the animatronics in the current game. It shows a virus spreading from the circuits, mostly assumed to be the Glitchtrap.
Ness is heavily implied to be Vanny from Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted and Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, as Ness is suggested to be under mind control just like Vanny. Furthermore, Ness could be a shortening of the name Vanessa, with another possible shortening being Vanny. A security guard in Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, also known as Vanessa, is also implied to be the same person, which may suggest that Vanny is Vanessa's alter ego when Glitchtrap controls her.

In August 2018, Scott Cawthon announced he made a deal with a AR game studio[4] stating that, 'The AR game is well under way, and while I’m not going to reveal any gameplay details yet, I will say that the impending doom of something hunting you will keep you up at night.'[5] The development team was later revealed to be California-based Illumix,[6] On September 6, 2019 a teaser trailer[7] was uploaded for the game to Illumix's YouTube channel,[8] followed by an announcement trailer[9]one week later on September 13, revealing the title.[10]
The game was released for free on iOS and Android on November 25, 2019.[11] The release included a trailer featuring Markiplier, a popular YouTuber well known for his various gameplays of Five Nights at Freddy's and FNaF-related fan games.[12]
