UPDATE:The Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 4 release date has been officially confirmed. Backing up earlier reports, Season 4 will launch on June 10 in the US, and the morning of. Infinite Warfare deals with a science-fiction shooter gameplay, taking place in a futuristic setting of the other shooting games. Modern Warfare 4 release date, definitely will set in modern times. With Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 the main priority of Activision, leaks/rumors of Modern Warfare 4 may also hint toward the return of a Single-player.

Writing on Monday afternoon, a joint statement from Activision and Infinity Ward told players:

“While we all look forward to playing the new seasons of Modern Warfare, Warzone and Call of Duty: Mobile, now is not the time.

“We are moving the launches of Modern Warfare Season 4 and Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 to later dates.

“Right now it’s time for those speaking up for equality, justice and change to be seen and heard. We stand alongside you.”

Since pushing back the release of Season 4, the only further correspondence from the developer has come from a pledge to “do a better job” at cracking down on racist content within the game and a show of support towards the Black Lives Matter movement.

On Thursday evening, Infinity Ward inserted a message in support of Black Lives Matter before the beginning of every Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone game.

“Our community is hurting,” the message began. “The systemic inequalities our community experiences are once again center stage.

“Call of Duty and Infinity Ward stand for equality and inclusion. We stand against the racism and injustice our Black community endures. Until change happens and Black Lives Matter, we will never truly be the community we strive to be.”

There’s no question the developer has done all it can to show it’s support for the rampant racial injustice thats being exposed so thoroughly this week.

But it would seem that from next week, normal order of service should begin with the launch of Season 4.
