Unreal Tournament 436 No Cd

Posted on  by
  • The Game of the Year Edition of Unreal Tournament is a re-release which includes the original game patched to version 436, as well as new (mostly community-made) maps, new player models like the Nali Warcow, and the mods Rocket Arena and Chaos UT.
  • Execute the Patch to remove the CD-Check from: UNREAL.EXE 27.648 bytes Play the Game! Unreal - Special Edition No-CD:: Crack-Heads Patch Executable 64 KB.
  • Oddly enough, I'm having registry issues too as of late. If I try to run my non-steam install of UT2004, there's no CD key entry when I check regedit. But as soon as I log into Steam and launch the Steam version of UT2004, the CD key then appears on Regedit (both normal installs and Steam put the CD key in the same spot.).

If you have no sound in the game, you need to enable the oss proxy for pulseaudio:
$ sudo systemctl enable osspd
$ sudo systemctl start osspd
Then start the game with:
$ padsp ut

I didn't know about https://github.com/OldUnreal/UnrealTournamentPatches. I'll have a look at the weekend and will probably rework the whole package. Thx for sharing!

Unreal Tournament 436 No Cds

I've successfully built the package, however I can't start the game. Any thoughts?

XenGi commented on 2018-06-21 20:01

@Tom_B You could install the hires textures yourself. They are not included in this package to simplify the installation but also because they are known for causing trouble. There are way nicer textures out there to install. I suggest you use those instead.

Unreal Tournament 3 Download

This installer seems to ignore CD2 with the high res textures, is there any way to install the textures from CD2?

@ivdok: I'm not sure. I never tested the steam version. Better use the GOTY or Anthology disk to install it.

Is it normal that Loki's xdelta patches are failing for a 436 GOTY from Steam?UPD: Aaand it also segfaults.

Hi,
I believe the current PKGBUILD is missing a backslash at the end of line 143 as the destination operand for the install command follows in the line below.
Thanks for maintaining this awesome classic. I still casually play it on my Linux box.

@Fenrir What are you trying to tell me/us? Just do what it says. Mount your unreal tournament cd or define '_cdpath' and '_cdversion' variable yourself.
